Volunteer Role Description
We are fundraising so we can run support services for beneficiaries with Family Focus, and so be able to fund our programs for the upcoming year.
As our Fundraising Volunteer, you will support our team in organising fundraising activities and events.
You will assist the team with events planning and ensure the smooth running of events.
You will be able to develop your team working, communication and organisation skills.
Most importantly, you will inspire communities to raise funds to support our mission.
What the role involves
The role is likely to include the following but may vary depending on our needs:
- Recruiting and inducting other volunteers involved in fundraising as part of the group
- Assist in fundraising activities throughout the year or based on your availability
- Develop relations with local organisations and participate in fundraising opportunities
- Assisting with compliance issues relating to funding
- Assisting in completing and signing finance declarations, with the Finance Volunteer
- Coordinate with and support other volunteers involved in fundraising
We will provide you with the necessary support needed to excel in this role.
What you need for this role
Essential
- Confident using Microsoft Office, the internet(social media platforms) and email
- Able to follow best fundraising practices and appropriate
- Able to understand and contribute to the work that we do
- Able to apply regulations pertaining to equality, disability and inclusion practices
- Able to keep people’s personal data safe and comply with the respective regulation
Desirable
- Committed to our values
- Approachable, presentable, enthusiastic
- Willing to develop skills and experience
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Previous fundraising experience
- Effective problem solving skills
